Brits in the buff!

A survey we conducted on Facebook has revealed the death of the pyjama as the bedtime clothing of choice, with 67% of respondents stating they do not wear pyjamas to bed but instead opt for shorts and t-shirts or nothing at all. 33% of Brits regularly sleep naked with an increase to 45% amongst the male population who chose to sleep in the buff every night!

Hip hip hoorah for couples across the UK with 65% of those in love choosing to spend Valentine’s night in bed with their other half, even when tempted by a night with George Clooney, Jonny Depp, Cheryl Cole and Kelly Brook. A special 5% of the UK would rather spend Valentine’s night in bed with their pet than with a celebrity!

A whopping 76% of Brits think going to bed at the same time as your partner is the key to a successful relationship. Today’s bedroom routines can often be interrupted by conflicting schedules and modern technology with 1 in 4 respondents claiming that mobile phones and tablets get in the way of their bedroom routines.

Outside of the bedroom it seems Brits are still traditional at heart with 30% hoping to receive flowers this Valentine’s Day. Interestingly whilst women are often considered as having the sweet tooth in a relationship, it seems the man’s sweet tooth has been overlooked with 12% more males than females hoping to receive chocolates as a gift this Valentine’s Day. Men are also the more sentimental half when it comes to gifts, with 19% of males hoping to receive something handmade by their partner, that’s 12% more than UK females who place jewellery and flowers at the top of their wish lists.

They say the way to a man’s heart is through the stomach, but it seems it’s the way to a woman’s heart too with 79% of all Brits stating their perfect Valentines celebration is a romantic meal for two, with 42% opting to eat out this year and 37% choosing to cook in.

Valentine’s Day really is geared towards women and the UK’s Brits seem to have it right. The majority of the UKs males expect their partners to spend just £0-£5 on them whilst they plan to spend £50+ on their loved ones this Valentine’s Day
