Styling a Soak&Sleep Bedroom Part 1: Country

For this weeks ‘Styling a Soak&Sleep Bedroom’ we gave Sarah Akwisombe one word; Country. The aim was to create an escape from modern life with a pretty bedroom, which was charming, retro and a perfect calming atmosphere to promote a healthy and happy sleep. Sarah accepted our styling challenge, and we may be biased, but we loved the results.

Sarah started with the biggest part, the furniture, and settle on the retro, scandi look of our new Cranbrook bed and bedside table. The blue fresh looking brushed cotton bed frame is perfect for adding a subtle pop of colour, and added wooden elements brings a naturalness to the ambience (available soon).

Bed Linen

With our ever growing bed linen department, Sarah had her work cut out for her by narrowing down and picking only a select few of our ranges to be featured in this bed look. Not being afraid of experimenting with pattern, she used gentle colours, soft lines, and layered bed clothes, to create a comfortable feel, which made us just want to jump straight in.

Using our delicate Scalloped edge and Moorish bed linen, Sarah was able to bring a subtle colour theme of blue running through the look, topped off with our Reversible bedspread. Our Chunky Knit was added to bring some instant vintage texture, and by using our casually creased natural French linen, Sarah brought repeating elements of a modern Scandi cosy retreat.

Think country; think shabby chic. Sarah used a variety of our very own accessories available to create a charmingly pretty space. Our Mirror with hooks (available soon) is perfect for the farmhouse furnishing look, and Sarah also grabbed our elegant and rustic hanging stars to draw the eye. Flowers are a must have with any country theme, and our friends at Bloom and Wild kindly sent us some gorgeous wild flowers to bring a splash of colour and nature to the look. Sarah popped these into our Blue Stem vase and Recycled glass vases (available soon). This relaxing and calming sleep atmosphere was not complete without the dress code; our smooth Silk Shortie set, and cosy Sheepskin Slippers.
