So get ready, because today we will be showing you how to make…drum roll please…Mulled Wine.
There’s nothing more inviting then the smell of mulled spices simmering to welcome your guests out of the cold, you’ll soon be snuggling around the fire, and the celebrations can kick off – full steam ahead!
So whether this is a tradition, or could be a potential new addition to your celebrations, let Soak&Sleep help you create the perfect day.
~ 1 Clementine
~ Half a Lemon’s Peel
~ 3-6 Tablespoons of Sugar
~ 1 Cinnamon Stick
~ 1 Teaspoon of Nutmeg
~ Half a Teaspoon of Cloves
~ A Capful of Vanilla Extract
~ 1 Bottle of Red Wine
~ 2 Star Anise
Start by cutting your clementine and lemon, and remember don’t throw away the peal as you will need these too.
Place these into a pan with the sugar and heat until a syrup has formed.
Add the cinnamon stick (broken in half), nutmeg, and cloves.
Pour in half the bottle of wine, and the vanilla essence, and heat gently.
Add in the reminder of the wine, and the two star anise, and heat gently.
Chuck on some Boney M, put your feet up, and relax with the soothing aroma of mulled spices. Yum!
So there you have it, share with us your Mulled Wine moments, and tune is next week for our last Warm Drink Wednesday – of 2015 that is ;).
